Day 1

An early start to photograph The Queens' Pier at sunrise. A great location just a short walk from your accommodation, you can literally fall out of bed and be there in 5 minutes. After a hearty breakfast we will visit Derbyhaven for some seascape images, at this location there are boats moored in the bay adding a little extra character to your images. Simple images like a single boat can be very evocative. Find interesting paraphernalia on the beach to take some macro shots. St Michaels' Isle is close by this will be our next stop. At this location there's an ancient ruin & an old fort, a great focal point to the landscape. After lunch we will visit Silverdale Glen to capture more historic artifacts. Monks bridge( known as crossag in manx, meaning little crossing)  is ancient stone bridge which lies across the river in the Glen . It was Built in 1350 AD by the cistercian monks from Rushen Abbey. There are usually some geese and ducks in the vicinity to add some life to your pictureque scene.

Port Erin will be an ideal location for sunset being on the west coast of the island. Bradda head features a tower (Milner Tower). William Milner was a Liverpool safe maker. In 1864 he was active in the erection of a breakwater in the harbour for fisherman to shelter from rough seas. In gratitude the community built this tower in honour of William, it was built in the shape of one of his earlier keys. After a busy day you will have time to shower and change ready for your evening meal and relax reflecting on the day with your fellow photographers, sharing tips and ideas to improve on your photography skills.

Day 2

Sunrise on the mountain is an exhilarating start to the day. We will set up our tripods to capture the amazing start of a new day. Graduated filters will improve the balance of your images here, getting the balance in the foreground and sky can be difficult to achieve without a little help from these filters.  After a hearty breakfast we will head off to Groudle Glen, popular with tourist back in the 1800's. A bandstand was erected along with a minature waterwheel and house. Today the glen is favoured by walkers and photographers with these features. There is also a railway viaduct which can add some character to your images. Here you can practise your photography skills using slow shutter speeds. Using neutral density filters can create a lovely milky effect on the water in the glen(Help is on hand if needed).  We will head back to your accommodation for well earned rest after your early start.

Refreshed and raring to go we will head off to the Point of Ayre for our finally images of the day. A fine lighthouse resides at this location offering plenty of scope as a focal point for your splendid skies. Eventhough the lighthouse it a the northern plains of the island we still witness moody skies as we will look towards the west to photograph the evening light.

There is a steep pebble beach here and rolling waves crash along the shore, another vantage point if lighthouses are not your favourite structure to photograph. Once the light fails us we will make our way to a resaurant to eat our evening meal and reflect on your trip to this amazing island.

Day 3

After a good nights rest you will be heading back home. You will be transported to the Airport/sea terminal for your journey home. It is my hope you will have enjoyed every minute of your stay here in the Isle of Man and will return for another holiday/course in the future.
